The Federation - Final Table Season 11

The second season of The Federation has now finished, and the points have been counted. Here is the final table:

1. CFA 1002 FP
2. DFA 937 FP
3. OFA 447 FP
4. EFA 355 FP
5. GFA 342 FP
6. VFA 210 FP
7. RFA 11 FP

Congratulations to the CFA for once again taking the title and earning that £1m extra in prize money to be distributed through their community extra competitions.

The DFA finished runners-up for the second season running and will not want to see arch rivals the CFA take it for a third time. We can also expect a stronger challenge from the EFA this coming season, as they have gained a number of strong, active members.

The Ultimate U21 League

The Ultimate U21 League is set to take as many youth teams as possible into one competition. The way it works is that there is one group in the first stage, followed by tiered groups in the second stage. Obviously the best in the first stage go into the best leagues in the second stage. The theory is that this is the ultimate U21 competition in the game world.

Fed Points awarded:
Winner of the qualifying league = 20 FP - The Mongol Bashers (CFA)
Runners-up of the qualifying league = 15 FP - Brooks AFC (OFA)

Total Football

The Total Football competitions - one senior, one youth - consist of a multi stage competition where it pays to play the game in the way that it was intended. Aside from the obvious points for performance, you also gain FP here for having the best pass completion % and tackles won %. We have tried to make these cups to make members think about how they set up their team.

Dominated by the DFA here as AFC Watford and Borrussia Urteeth competed the Final after beating FC 360 (also DFA) and OFA’s Boot  and Shoe Villa in the Semi’s. Huddersfield Town gave CFA’s best effort, losing 3-2 to FC 360 in the Quarter Final.

Fed Points earned for the senior version:
Winners = 30 FP - AFC Watford (DFA)
Runners-up = 20 FP - Borrussia Urteeth (DFA)
Most goals scored = 15 FP - FC 360 35 (DFA)
Highest overall pass completion % = 15 FP - Freudian's Lips 82% (VFA)

Least amount of fouls committed = 10 FP - LivingLegendsFC 56 (EFA)
Worst discipline = minus 10 FP - AFC Watford 28 yellows, 3 reds (DFA)

The youth version makes good reading for the FA’s lower in the table, with an EFA OFA final between A White Pele and Brooks AFC. It took an 81st minute goal from Radek Urbanek to take the title back to the EFA and into A White Pele‘s trophy cabinet.

Fed Points earned:

100% AI = minus 10 FP - again, far too many to list, summary: CFA -90 FP, EFA -30 FP, OFA -60 FP, GFA -30 FP, VFA -10 FP, DFA -40 FP

League Of Gentlemen

The League Of Gentleman is a competition that gives Fed Points for fair play. Points gained for committing the least fouls and for the best discipline record, whilst minus points for committing more fouls and having the worst disciplinary record. Of course points given for finishing in the top 3.

Another win here for the GFA and their MVP Bugs Bunny and Co, taking the title from the DFA’s Bosnian Brawlers by 3 points, with CFA’s Huddersfield Town taking up 3rd spot.

Reputation Leagues

The Reputation League’s consist of three rep banded league competitions and run the length of the season. Set up to satisfy demand, these reputation competitions are designed to give everyone a chance of earning some points for their FA.

This season the Lower Rep League (rep band 1-7) gained 20 members, with a nice balance of entrants between all domestic FA’s. It has been proved in the past that the season long competitions are where the less active FA’s make up most of their points, and this season has proven to be much of the same. The highest placed CFA/DFA side here was DFA‘s Fumon F.C. who ended up in 5th position, with the top 4 being made up of teams from the EFA, GFA and OFA. Trotters Independent Traders FC finished top of the table, finishing 7 points ahead of nearest rivals Will's Allstars. What was more impressive though was their style of play, scoring 107 goals in the 38 games in which they played. An average of nearly 3 goals per game is an impressive amount for the side from the EFA.

Fed Points earned:
Winners = 30 FP - Trotters Independent Traders FC (EFA)
Runners-up = 25 FP - Will's Allstars (GFA)
3rd-5th = 15 FP - LivingLegendsFC (EFA)
                          - Munchen Carpet (OFA)
                          - Fumon F.C. (DFA)
Best overall goal difference = 10 FP - Trotters Independent Traders FC +48 (EFA)
Competition top goalscorer = 10 FP - Juan Pablo Bazán, Fumon F.C. 28 goals (DFA)
Best discipline = 5 FP - Munchen Carpet 44 yellows, 0 reds (OFA)
100% AI = minus 10 FP - Will's Allstars (GFA)
                                        - Ultimos SP (OFA)

The Mid Rep league is open to teams with a reputation of 8-13, and attracted the interest of 25 teams for this season. Finishing 1st and 3rd, this competition went the way of the DFA, as they bid to close the gap in the table with the CFA. It could have gotten much closer at the top though, with Hexfire Garwolin and CA Taboao da Serra both finishing on 91 points, and also finishing with the same goal difference of +34. But it was Hexfire’s 98 goals scored that won them and the DFA the title. It was refreshing again to see the top 5 made up of teams from the GFA and OFA, but surprisingly, nothing again for the CFA.

Fed Points earned:
Winners = 30 FP - Hexfire Garwolin (DFA)
Runners-up = 25 FP - CA Taboao da Serra (GFA)
3rd-5th = 15 FP - Sex Panther FC (DFA)
                          - Brewers Athletic (OFA)
                          - Fc Felgueiras (OFA)
Best overall goal difference = 10 FP - Hexfire Garwolin +34 (DFA)
                                                        - CA Taboao da Serra +34 (GFA)
Competition top goalscorer = 10 FP - Federico Coppiardi, Hexfire Garwolin 36 goals (DFA)
Best discipline = 5 FP - Pelham White Star 48 yellows, 1 red (CFA)
100% AI = minus 10 FP - Monkeypisle FC (CFA)

The Upper Rep League consists of sides with a rep of 14-20 and really is the best league in the game world. The best of the best from each FA all in one, 30 team league competition. It just goes to show how difficult this competition is when one of the best teams in the game world - and the DFA - finish in 5th position, beaten by members of the OFA and GFA once again. These competitions have been a huge FP booster for the less active FA’s, maybe not gaining them enough to catch up with the CFA and DFA, but definitely enough to earn them the respect that they deserve. In the end it was GFA’s Bugs Bunny and Co who won the league, taking the title from Dynamo Dave FC by just 3 points.

Fed Points earned:
Winners = 30 FP - Bugs Bunny and Co (GFA)
Runners-up = 25 FP - Dynamo Dave FC (OFA)
3rd-5th = 15 FP - Brooks AFC (OFA)
                          - Huddersfield Town (CFA)
                          - Bosnian Brawlers (DFA)
Best overall goal difference = 10 FP - Bugs Bunny and Co +80 (GFA)
Competition top goalscorer = 10 FP - Tony McCall, Brooks AFC 45 goals (OFA)
                                                        - Daniel Moretto, Oaklands Raiders 45 goals (DFA)
Best discipline = 5 FP - esteghlal fc 33 yellows, 1 red (OFA)
100% AI = minus 10 FP - Deportivo Harford FC (OFA)

Champions Tuesday (15.3.11)

As has become tradition over the past couple of seasons, Tuesday night's fed event was the Champions Tuesday Quick Play. The second to last event of the season, time was really running out to make an impression on the final fed table, and with the CFA more than 70 points ahead, the DFA had no choice but to go all out if they want the prize of an extra £1m next season.

The Semi Finals saw not one CFA'er, giving the DFA a golden chance to narrow the gap with Oldland Rangers and Thoule United there to represent. They were joined by EFA's Jazz FC and surprisingly - and refreshingly - an RFA'er in the shape of Glasgows Green n White. The level 2 side gave Thoule United a good game, eventually losing 4-2 in extra time, despite going 2-0 up. Joining Thoule United in the Final was Jazz FC, cruelly beating Oldland Rangers with a Grégory Diagouraga 92nd minute goal.

It was yet another ridiculously close Final, with the scores level at 1-1 after 90 minutes, then also level at 120 minutes 2-2. The proceeding shootout saw 10 different players from each side step up to the spot, with the final score ending 5-4 in favour of the EFA's Jazz FC.

Fed Points awarded:
Winners = 30 FP - Jazz FC (EFA)
Runners-up = 25 FP - Thoule United (DFA)
Semi Finalists = 15 FP - Oldland Rangers (DFA)

Easy Like A Sunday Morning (13.3.11)

17 members took part in this weeks Easy Like A Sunday Morning quick play, with every point so valuable with the season's end just around the corner. It appears to be a two horse race between last season's winners the CFA, and the DFA with just 11 points separating the two before this event. And with the CFA once again dominating with the amount of entrants - 12 compared to DFA's 2 - they were always the favorites to pick up the majority of the points.

Unlike the Legends Cup where the DFA still managed to do the business, here it was all about the CFA, taking up 3 of the 4 Semi Final spaces including an all CFA Final in which only a penalty shootout could separate winners PuRe MaDnEsS v3 from runners up Huddersfield Town.

Here are the Fed Points awarded for the event:

Winners = 30 FP - PuRe MaDnEsS v3 (CFA)
Runners-up = 25 FP - Huddersfield Town (CFA)
Semi Finalists = 15 FP - ddBdYnamoeS (CFA)

The Weakest Link (12.3.11)

Everyone knows how the Weakest Link game show works. This competition version works much in the same way. A multi stage competition where the worst teams in each stage are eliminated.

Here's how the points went for Saturday night's event:

Legends Cup (Week Two)

The second of the Legends Cups ended in midweek, the Peter Schmeichel named competition. Points in this competition are earned for performance and performance only. Nothing given away here for being top goal scorer or for keeping the most clean sheets.

The DFA have slipped behind in the Fed table over the past week, as the CFA overtook them and gained a 61 point lead. They really needed a good showing here, but with just 12 entrants compared to the CFA's 26, they started off with the odds stacked against them.

Despite the CFA dominance, not one of the 26 entrants made it through to the Semi Finals, Huddersfield Town being the only side to even make the Quarters. Surprisingly, it was the OFA who had the most participants come the Semi's, with Dynamo Dave FC and Boot  and Shoe Villa both making it into the points. Boot  and Shoe Villa came up against the GFA's Warburton Wanderers, whilst Dynamo Dave FC faced the favourites at this stage, FC 360.

Two largely different Semi Final match ups. The first between Dynamo Dave FC and FC 360 was a close one. Despite FC 360 going 3 up inside half an hour, Dynamo Dave FC came out of the half time break a different team. Coming out strong they clawed a goal back straight away, then set about a second, putting their opponents on the back foot. That second goal did come, but not until the 89th minute. It lead to a few frantic minutes at the end, and with 3 minutes added on, manager David Kempshall pushed his team forward hoping for an equalising goal to take it into extra time. It never came though, and FC 360 progressed on to the Final.

The other Semi was not so close. After scoring in the 2nd minute Boot  and Shoe Villa never looked back, adding a second in the 21st minute. Warburton Wanderers did grab one back shortly after, but with winger Mauro Camoranesi getting sent off early on, they were always up against it. Sérgio Fernandes made it 3-1 just before half time and Rogério completed the win later on in the second half.

The Final then was a DFA V OFA affair, pitting FC 360  up against Boot  and Shoe Villa. The tie couldn't have been any closer. Alexandre Christophe put 360 ahead on the half hour mark, only for Patrick Sneijder to equalise a minute later. Then, after an hours of play, the bizarre happened. FC 360 won a penalty, which Luca Fratello missed, only for Boot  and Shoe Villa to be awarded a penalty themselves 2 minutes later. Pereira also missed, but on the follow up Marco Tattini was brought down by Andrea Troise, winning another penalty. This time Pereira didn't miss, putting the side from the OFA 2-1 up. The lead lasted until the 77th minute, when Marco D'Alessandro slotted past Alex Smithies to level up the score. Nothing could separate the sides, with the tie going all the way to a penalty shoot out. 9 out of the 12 penalties taken were missed, FC 360 winning the shoot out 2-1 to take the crown and the much needed points for the DFA.

That bizarre incident...

Trialist World Cup (9.3.11)

Wednesday night saw a run of the Trialist World Cup. Announcing the competition just 1 hour before kicking it off was maybe not the best organisation, however we managed to get 15 entrants. Here is how the Fed Points were awarded:

Champions Tuesday (8.3.11)

As ever, Tuesday night saw the Champions Tuesday Quick Play in Lemerre, with 21 teams competing. No surprises as the CFA and DFA had the most entering teams, 6 for each, with the EFA having 4 representatives. The GFA and VFA both had 2 each and the RFA's Olympus FC completed the lineup.

Another competition dominated by the CFA, with the TheStoneColds FC beating Huddersfield Town 4-3 in the Final.

CPU Challenge (7.3.11)

Monday’s CPU challenge saw 15 Lemerre members take part/This week the CPU sides that everyone was up against had the characteristic of having flair players. Here’s how it went:

After getting this far and beating level 10 side Edenthorpe Rovers, CFA’s Anders Olsen decided to call it a night du to a lack of time. He never got to face level 11 side Ilston Rovers, but no one beat his score, so he and the CFA walked away with the points.

Easy Like A Sunday Morning (6.3.11)

The second of three weekly ran Fed quickplay's, the Easy Like A Sunday Morning. As is appearing regularly now, the Final was contested by a CFA and a DFA side, with the DFA once again coming out on top. Athletico Coombe broke the 4 run reign that the CFA held on the competition, becoming the first side outside of the FA to win since the second run in season 9. The CFA still came out on top though, gaining a total of 75 FP compared to DFA’s 30.

Fed Points awarded:
Winners = 30 FP - Athletico Coombe (DFA)
Runners-up = 25 FP - Huddersfield Town (CFA)
Semi Finalists = 15 FP - Fiftyfifty (CFA)
                                   - TheStoneColds FC (CFA)
Top goalscoring team = 10 FP - TheStoneColds FC 12 (CFA)
Most clean sheets = 10 FP - Huddersfield Town 2 (CFA)

Treasure Hunt (5.3.11)

The ideas simple. You give a clue as to the name of a footballer, participating managers then figure out the answer based on the clue and search for that player. Once found, the player will have a clue to another player on his notes page. You keep going until you get to the end of the hunt, then post the answers to the mod mailing list.

In this one, we used anagrams as the clues. Here are the anagrams we used, I won't post the answers to see if anyone not taking part in game world wants a go on here:

1. Danger Reverts
2. Raccoon Fittest
3. Dozed Kine
4. Cam I No
5. Bani Perversion
6. Creative Rap
7. Kappa Globe Nervy
8. Fared Orisons
9. Card Orcas Zoo
10. A Sabbatise Con Ems

Points awarded for the first 3 managers to reply with their answers, and 5 each for anyone thereafter.

1st - Dexter Morgan (VFA) = 30 FP
2nd - Da Vinci (CFA) = 20 FP
3rd - Anders Olsen (CFA) = 15 FP
Alex Vander (CFA) = 5 FP
Thomas Rabbit (GFA) = 5 FP
Aaron Trevelyan (CFA) = 5 FP

Beat The Mods Competitions

Two competitions, one league, one cup, each ran twice a season. Each moderator is included along with other managers in the game world. As ever, Fed Points are awarded based on various achievements, but one thing we've implemented in these competitions is that should a moderator win, then all points earned are considered null and void. This is to give the beat the mods title some relevance.

First of all then the cup competition. The mod teams very own Durham City Harriers beat Town United FC (another moderator) in the final, so all points are considered null and void for the cup.

The OFA's Dynamo Dave FC won the league version, finishing an impressive 5 points ahead of DFA's Oaklands Raiders. Here are the Fed Points earned for the Beat The Mods League

Winners = 30 FP - Dynamo Dave FC (OFA)
Runners-up = 25 FP - Oaklands Raiders (DFA)
3rd-5th = 15 FP - Durham City Harriers (mod)
                          - Floriana Fc (DFA)
                          - Athletico Coombe (DFA)
Best overall goal difference = 10 FP - Dynamo Dave FC (OFA)
Competition top goalscorer = 10 FP - Daniel Moretto of Oaklands Raiders (DFA) 16 goals
                                                        - Eduardo Salvio of Floriana Fc (DFA) 16 goals
Best discipline = 5 FP - bungy rovers 20 yellows, no reds (mod)
100% AI = minus 10 FP - Wild's Warriors (mod)
                                       - Tyne Athletic (mod)

Picture Quiz (2.3.11)

Picture quiz is exactly how it sounds. We change the photo of a manager that has never signed into the game world, then post the link in the tactics room. The first person to guess what that picture is get's a point. In Lemerre, we run a strict "one answer per person per question" policy, with any rule breakers receiving a mute. It seems to work well in preventing spam.

This weeks theme was club football kits. Home kits from clubs all over the world. It went right down to the wire, with a tie breaker needed to separate CFA's Da Vinci and DFA's Jax after both ended the quiz with 7 points each. Da Vinci and the CFA ended up the winners, here are the full results:

Da Vinci (CFA) - 7
Jax Teller (DFA) -6
Nick Van Damme (DFA) - 3
Anders Olsen (CFA) - 2
Rich Anderson (DFA) - 1
Manuel Schilling (DFA) - 1

Fed Points awarded:
1st place - Da Vinci (CFA) = 30 FP
2nd place - Jax Teller (DFA) = 20 FP
3rd place - Nick Van Damme (DFA) = 15 FP

And then 2 points for each correct answer:
CFA = 18 FP
DFA = 22 FP

For those that missed the quiz, or for those looking in from other game worlds, here are the pictures that were used. How many can you get? Feel free to comment with your answers:

And then the tie breaker was solved with this picture:

Legends Cup (Week One)

The Legends Cups are something that we created to run over the course of a week. Each one is named after someone who is considered a legend in the world of football. The first weeks one was named after the great Marco Van Basten, and is a straight knockout competition.

With a huge amount of Fed Points up for grabs for these competitions, and with no penalties for AI, it is a great chance for some of the lesser FA’s to catch up with the most active ones. The CFA and DFA seem to be running away with the lead as they did last season, but with four of these competitions over the course of the season, there is plenty for the less active to play for.

This was highlighted in the Marco Van Basten Legend Cup, with an OFA side up against a team from the VFA in the Final, and with no DFA side in the last four, AC Rangers have helped the CFA close the gap on the leaders.

Superb striker Andrew Allen was the player of the tournament, scoring 5 goals in 4 games, but his side Borrussia Urteeth were knocked out in the Quarter Finals by Dave Peirson‘s Maisy MooMoo FC after a 3-1 penalty shootout defeat.

One of the favorites for the competition, the Bosnian Brawlers also gave a poor showing, going out in the Second Round to EFA’s TMNT FC 2-1. Even more surprising than that was the First Round elimination of one of DFA’s finest FC 360, going out 2-1 on penalties to level 10 side Cripp FC. The match ended 0-0 after 90 minutes.

So the Final was contested by Maisy MooMoo FC and Brewers Athletic. In a relatively even game it was Athletic that drew first blood, with Stevan Jovetic scoring just after the half time break. Then in the 63rd minute, a cool finish from Brazilian striker Taison put the game beyond MooMoo’s reach and sent the trophy home with Brewers and their travelling fans.

The winning goal...

Fed Points awarded:

Winners = 50 Fed Points - Brewers Athletic (OFA)
Runners Up = 30 Fed Points - Maisy MooMoo FC (VFA)
Losing Semi Finalists = 10 Fed Points - AC Rangers (CFA)

Trialist World Cup (27.2.11)

I’m sure everyone in FML knows how the Trialist World Cup works. But there are always slight variations, so here’s how it’s done in Lemerre. All entering teams go into the tactics chat room, where the draw for who gets which nation is carried out, usually around 30 minutes before the competition kicks off. The entrants then choose which nation they would like, one by one, starting with the lowest repped team entered. So the lowest repped team get’s the first pick, and the highest repped side get the last pick. No dual nations allowed, so if a nation has gone, you can’t pick them. Then, once all nations have been drawn, the managers then set about signing a squad of trialists. Each team must use a complete squad of trialists, no players from their own team and no loans allowed. Each squad must contain a minimum of 16 players, and not 1 player with a signing on fee of over £50k. Anyone fielding an ineligible side will see their FA docked Fed Points.

It wasn’t the best ran Trialist World Cup this weekend. Mistakes by the organising team meant that Saturday night’s try had to be cancelled and postponed until the Sunday. Then on Sunday, one member joined, picked his side, then logged off, without setting his competition squad. Predictably, his seniors went on to win the competition, although any Fed Points that he earned were considered void.

Fed points awarded:
Winners = 30 FP - LivingLegendsFC (EFA) Fed Points deducted due to using first team for entire competition
Runners-up = 25 FP - Kaizanti Eagles Fc (EFA)
Top scoring team = 15 FP - LivingLegendsFC (EFA) points deducted
Most clean sheets = 15 FP - Athletico Coombe (DFA)
                                          - Arabs United (CFA)
                                          - Stumpville Megastars (VFA)
                                          - Kaizanti Eagles Fc (EFA)
Best discipline = 10 FP - Macduff Mob 1 yellow 0 reds (GFA)
Fielding an ineligible squad = minus 20 FP - LivingLegendsFC (EFA)
100% AI = minus 10 FP - Kaizanti Eagles Fc (EFA)
                                        - Stumpville Megastars (VFA)

Easy Like A Sunday Morning (27.2.11)

The Easy Like A Sunday Morning event is a straight knockout competition that, as the name suggests, is played on a Sunday morning. As many can enter this competition as wish to, although the average is usually around 20. The fact that there is no penalties for high AI% in this competition, means that a high number of people can enter without worrying about losing Fed Points.

The CFA are dragging themselves back from a poor start, in the chase of the DFA. The Easy Like A Sunday Morning quick play saw the CFA take 3 out of the 4 spaces in the Semi Finals.

For the second time running, the Final was contested by PuRe MaDnEsS v3 and AC Seven, with CuPiD sTuNt‘s side cruising to a 3-0 win.

Points awarded for Sunday’s event:

Winners = 30 FP - PuRe MaDnEsS v3 (CFA)
Runners-up = 25 FP - AC Seven (CFA)
Semi Finalists = 15 FP - Sex Panther FC (DFA)
                                   - ReDNaZzz Hero's (CFA)
Top goalscoring team = 10 FP - PuRe MaDnEsS v3 (CFA)
Most clean sheets = 10 FP - PuRe MaDnEsS v3 (CFA)

Quiz (25.2.11)

Friday night was quiz night in Lemerre. This weeks subject was footballing families. Questions on brothers and various other siblings. I won’t post the questions just in case the same quiz gets used in another game world, wouldn’t want to give anyone an unfair advantage.

As stated before, every correct answer in the quiz gives you 2 FP for your FA, with the top 3 gaining extra FP.

1st - Da Vinci (CFA) = 30 FP
2nd - Louis Compton (DFA) = 20 FP
3rd - Chris Rowe (CFA) = 15 FP
=3rd - Joe Faultless (CFA) = 15 FP
=3rd - Haris Hadziselimovic (DFA) = 15 FP

And the points for answering questions:

Da Vinci (CFA) 8 right answers - 16 FP
Louis Compton (DFA) 3 right answers - 6 FP
Chris Rowe (CFA) 2 right answers - 4 FP
Joe Faultless (CFA) 2 right answers - 4 FP
Haris Hadziselimovic (DFA) 2 right answers - 4 FP
Anders Olsen (CFA) 1 right answer - 2 FP
Jax Teller (DFA) 1 right answer - 2 FP

CPU Characteristics

Following on from the previous post regarding CPU challenges, I thought I would list all of the characteristics of the CPU sides.

Balanced, no strengths, no weaknesses *
Strength - fast wingers
Strength - towering forward
Strength - strong, physical players *
Strength - pace
Strength - strong defence
Strength - strong attack
Strength - strong midfield *
Strength - good GK
Strength - set pieces *
Strength - aerial prowess *
Strength - flair players
Strength - fast wingers, with a towering forward
Strength - strong, physical players. Weakness - lack pace
Strength - pace. Weakness - lack strength
Strength - flair players, technically strong. Weakness - weak in the air
Strength - high work rate, high stamina. Weakness - lack technique *
Strength - pace, technically strong. Weakness - lack stamina

For each of the above, there is one CPU side from level 1, right through to level 20.

For any Lemerrinho's visiting this page, feel free to comment on which one you would like to face next up, in next weeks challenge. A kind of vote if you like. The ones with a "*" next to, are the ones which we have already done.

CPU Challenge (23.2.11)

There are a few different ways of running a CPU challenge, but the way that I’ve found most successful in Lemerre, is to use it as a knockout competition. So you take a list of CPU sides from level 5 up to around 18, all with the same characteristics (strengths, weaknesses). Each entering team then plays the selected level 5 side, at their home ground. If they win, they move on to the level 6 side, and so on. Once you draw or lose a game, you are out of the competition.

The characteristic of this weeks CPU sides was the strength of having a strong, physical squad. Here’s how it went:

Level 5 - Shallowpool Academicals
Out - Steven Scott (CFA), Chris Rowe (CFA), Jake Tuck (DFA), Will Bain (CFA), Mike Turbo (CFA)

Level 6 - Rockchester United
Out - Joao Ferreira (VFA), Jamie Green (EFA), Michael Robinson (RFA)

Lee Challenger (EFA) decided to pull out at this stage, despite winning both of his first games, not conceding a goal in the process.

Level 7 - Drendridge Vale FC
Out - Anders Olsen (CFA),

Level 8 - Flaxby Town
Out - Joe Faultless (CFA), Da Vinci (CFA), Dan Blundell (DFA)

Level 9 - Galltown Sabre
Out - Nick  van Damme (DFA), Ben Roberts (DFA)

Level 10 - Kings Valley Rattlesnakes
Out - Jax Teller (DFA)

Level 11 - Urmaston-on-the-Hill
Out - Rich Anderson (DFA)

So a great event for the DFA, taking all 3 finishing places:

1st - Rich Anderson (DFA) = 30 FP
2nd - Jax Teller (DFA) = 20 FP
3rd - Ben Roberts (DFA) = 15 FP
=3rd - Nick  van Damme (DFA) = 15 FP

Also, 1 FP for each member that took part:

CFA - 7 entrants - 7 FP
DFA - 6 FP
EFA - 2 FP
VFA - 1 FP
RFA - 1 FP

Champions Tuesday (22.2.11)

For those of you who are not a member of the Lemerre game world, the Champions Tuesday Fed event is a Champions League style quick play. The number of entrants of course varies and so sometime it doesn't quite work out as a full Champs League format, but we try to stick as close to it as possible:

So another season of Fed Action has kicked off, with everyone out to take the CFA's crown. £1m has been added to a number of community extra competitions, £1m that other FA's want a piece of. Well, if you want it enough, you're going to have to take the fight to the current winners, as the CFA won't be going down without a fight.

This season's first night of community action saw the return of the Champions Tuesday quick play, and some early headway for the DFA, along with some surprise points for the OFA. A little disappointing though, was the high number of teams who left the entire tournament to their AI.

Points awarded:
Winners = 30 FP - Boot  and Shoe Villa (OFA)
Runners-up = 25 FP - Borrussia Urteeth (DFA)
Semi Finalists = 15 FP - Oaklands Raiders (DFA)
                                   - Oldland Rangers (DFA)
Tournament top goalscorer = 10 FP - Patrick Sneijder of Boot  and Shoe Villa with 10 (OFA)
100% AI = minus 10 FP - MagiCube (GFA)
                                      - Town United FC (CFA)
                                      - Wild's Warriors (VFA)
                                      - Doug United (VFA)
                                      - ReDNaZzz Hero's (CFA)
                                      - Huddersfield Town (CFA)
                                      - Manchester grady (OFA)
                                      - Aye Ready FC (CFA)
                                      - Mad Butchers (GFA)
                                      - Pelham White Star (CFA)
                                      - Will's Allstars (GFA)

As previously stated, every manager that takes part in a Fed event this season, will receive 1 Fed Point for their FA:

CFA - 11 entrants = 11 FP
DFA - 12 FP
EFA - 2 FP
GFA - 3 FP
OFA - 2 FP
VFA - 2 FP

Welcome

Welcome to a blog dedicated solely to The Federation FA in game world Lemerre. For those of you who don't know what The Federation is, it is an FA where inter federation competitions take place. Weekly and season long competitions are held in here, with "Fed Points" awarded based on teams performances, achievements and of course competition wins.

Unlike in other areas of FML however, this is not for personal success. The points are not earned for each individual team, but for the domestic FA in which they compete. As well as competitions, other activities like quizzes, CPU challenges and treasure hunts will be held, with points given based on performances.

At the end of the season, the FA with the most accumulative points will win £1million in prize money to be distributed through the FA's community extra competitions.
